Rank Accomplishments

Sensei Brearman began his martial arts training in 1990, while attending college at Penn State University in the art of Shorin Ryu Karate.

Upon his return home in 1991, he joined Hoover Karate Academy, training under Master Tim Hoover (a former student of Grandmaster Nenow), earning his green belt.

In 1992, he continued training under Grandmaster Nenow, and in 1995 earned the coveted 1st Dan black belt in American Tae Kwon Do, to be followed by his 2nd Dan black belt in 2000.

After 6 more years of study, Rod was promoted in 2006 to his present rank of 3rd Dan black belt.

Sensei Brearman is very proficient in open hand form and is also a formidable fighter. Throughout his 20 year career, Sensei Brearman has also trained in the arts of Japanese Kempo, American Kickboxing, Muay Thai and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.

Sensei Brearman has become an all around martial artist and is vital to the training staff at Dynasty International.
