Grandmaster Robert.C. Nenow
Grandmaster Robert C. Nenow currently holds rank in Tang Soo Do, American Tae Kwon Do,
American Sports Karate, and weapons rank in Okinawan Kenpo. A three-time National Sparring champion, of the U.S.A Karate Federation and a National weapons champion of the U.S.N.K.F., Grandmaster Nenow has won over 600 trophies in open competition. The senior member of the first American Karate team to ever compete in Siberia Russia, he was awarded the Russian Medal of Peace in 1996 for being the first American to teach Karate in the far reaches of the Tomsk region of Siberia. Featured in numerous Magazines in the 1980's, he is also a published Author, Past President of many Organizations, and presently President of Dynasty Karate International.
Grandmaster Nenow began studying the martial arts in 1960 and was active in tournament competition from 1970 to 1983. He was undefeated in sparring in the AAU Mid-Atlantic Region from 1976
through 1978, and rated #1 in sparring (region 10) by Karate Illustrated in 1980.
Grandmaster Nenow's competition record also includes Grandchampionships from the Philadelphia Bicentennial Tae Kwon Do Championships (1976), Dillman's Northeast Open (1980-1981), the Pennsylvania State Karate Championships (1980 and 1981), the Eastern States Karate Championships (1979) and the Baltimore Karate Championships (1980).
Grandmaster Nenow has been featured on several television programs and by Mid Atlantic Martial Arts Practitioner and Karate Illustrated.
He is a recipient of the Presidential Sports Award (1975), the Clarence Johnson Memorial Award (1978), the Outstanding Accomplishments Award from Oriental Defensive Arts Association (1980-1982), and the Robert Shortlidge, Jr., Memorial Award (1981).
