Who are we?

We are an organization that has been in Palmerton Pennsylvania for over 30 years. We offer American Tae Kwon Do, Self Defense, Women's Self Defense, Weapons, and Sparring.

The Dynasty is a family of schools formed by and under the supervision of 10th Degree Grand Master R.C. Nenow. Different styles and concepts are brought together to form the nucleous of the association.

The purpose of the organization is to promote the true spirit of the martial arts. To form an orgranized unit under one control without prejudice, but with an understanding of other styles and organizations. To train and promote the members in an orderly manner. To better and modernize the martial arts. To create seminars, classes and training programs for the individual students and instructors. To update instructors on all phases of training and new techniques. To formulate a standard set of rules for tournaments. To encourage the members to compete in tournaments and learn to win or lose with a sense of good sportsmanship. To develop the self defense, confidence, body and mind of its members. To promote all the health aspects of the martial arts. To promote discipline, respect and true meaning of the martial arts. To band together to discuss mutual interests or settle disputes. To organize an orderly chain of command. To promote and enlarge the organization. to create a loyal, dedicated and highly trained cadre of Black Belts to carry out the afore mentioned ideals.

What is Tae Kwon Do?

Tae Kwon Do, a Korean martial art and national sport, trains both mind and body through strict discipline and vigorous exercise. Thus, control of the mind over body, patience, kindness, self-restraint, and humility must accompany physical grace. By studying the art, the individual comes to know and understand himself and his opponent; then he can be silent and fearless. Master Nenow, through association with other styles, has incorporated the best of what he has seen and learned into his teachings. We now have American Tae Kwon Do.

Master R.C.Nenow is the head instructor and owner of the Dynasty Karate School. Over the past 30 years, Master Nenow has never been known to have tunnel vision in view of his style possessing all the answers. His willingness to learn and share knowledge over the years has never weakened. There are some schools, which see their style as through a window pane and are one-dimensional where Master Nenow's vision shows the full spectrum as an artist. He has a willing spirit to expand his student's experiences with other Martial Arts styles. This is often seen when other schools visit and share their specialties. This is a true sign of a modern master who is humble enough to learn.

In choosing a Martial Arts School, remember that all people are not equal in size or stature nor do they share the same given desires. At Dynasty Karate, you will find ages ranging from 4 to 60 years old. All of which fall into at least four categories, the health enthusiast, the social club member, the self-defense driven, and the competitor. If your desire is to test your abilities, there are frequent tournaments to compete in as well as instructors to help you reach your goals. The choice of paths is yours or in time, you will develop one.
