honor or die, they all know this.
A new young sword had come to claim,
he would kill this master as a way to fame.
Young and strong he was sure to win,
as the master was old and very short of wind.
So the plot was laid and they both were there,
one to gain fame and the other to care.
The master was calm, his thoughts were too,
to him a battle was nothing new.
The young and sure moved in to kill,
this master was nothing, not even a thrill.
As the warriors katana began to draw,
the sun rays streaked over the masters shaw.
Blinded for a second by the rising sun,
one died in an instant, the deed was done.
As the master had again, as he had done before,
planned with skill on the staging floor.
All old masters have survived one way,
thinking about their fighting day.
For strength and youth if your decent and kind,
will get you far in this land of mine.
But if one wants to kill without regret,
do not challenge the master at sunset.
For the master will think his strategy through,
and the one to die will surely be you.
The message of this little story,
use your mind as well, when you look for glory.
Remember the code, but never hate,
as this will only shorten your day of fate.
Be kind to others and you will rise in rank,
become an old master, who all will thank.
You will live to fight another day,
